Greater Greer Chamber Names President

(GREER, SC) The Greater Greer Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the promotion of Mark Owens to President/CEO effective immediately. Owens previously served as the chamber’s vice president.
Owens said, ”It is truly an honor to be selected to serve our members and community in this role. Along with our great chamber staff, we will continue to strive to fulfill our mission of championing economic prosperity for our members and the Greater Greer Community. Greer is a leader in the region and I am truly blessed to be a part of this community.”
A 2007 graduate of Presbyterian College and the US Chamber of Commerce Institute for Organizational Management, Owens also serves as a board member for the Carolinas Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives representing Greer on the two-state board. A member of the 2012 Carolinas Chamber of the Year, Owens is focused on member and community involvement to foster growth, community cohesion and thriving businesses.
Ken Harper, Chairman of the Greater Greer Chamber of Commerce Executive Board, said, “It has been a pleasure to watch Mark mature and make numerous contributions to the Greer community over the past several years, and we find it fulfilling to now see him so well-positioned to now assume this leadership role at the Greater Greer Chamber of Commerce. Owens currently lives in Greer with his wife Melody.
