Greater Greer Chamber of Commerce Creates Pelham Road Area Membership Council

(GREER, SC)  The Greater Greer Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the creation of the Pelham Road Area Membership Council.  The purpose of the council is threefold:

·         Expand the Chamber’s presence in the Pelham Road area to better connect membership

·         Engage and connect Pelham Road area members to the overall Greer Chamber members

·         Recruit new members from the Pelham Road area

New chamber board member and Village at Pelham Administrator, David Parks, will serve as chairperson of the newly-formed Pelham Road Area Membership Council.  He states, “Fostering the growth for and of our membership is the purpose behind the creation of this council.  The Chamber’s offices are located in downtown Greer but we serve the entire Greer area – including and now focusing on those businesses located along Pelham Road.”

The Council is actively seeking existing Chamber members to serve on the Council.  The Council’s kick-off meeting will be held at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 7, 2008 in the CapitalBank lobby at 2720 S. Highway 14.  Coffee and pastries will be provided by Brick House Coffee.   “Certainly those businesses that are not yet Chamber members and are interested in joining and becoming involved are welcome to attend as well,”  says Greater Greer Chamber of Commerce President & CEO, John Kimbrell.

The Greater Greer Chamber of Commerce is a voluntary, non-profit organization that represents approximately 580 businesses in the Greer area. The mission of the Greater Greer Chamber of Commerce is “To Champion Economic Prosperity for our members and the greater Greer community.”  For more information on the Greater Greer Chamber of Commerce, call 864-877-3131 or visit www.greerchamber.com.
