GREER CHAMBER ANNOUNCES 2016 EXECUTIVE BOARD & PROGRAM OF WORK 

(GREER, SC) – The Greater Greer Chamber of Commerce has announced their program of work, or “GPS: Goals, Plans & Strategies” and Executive Board members for 2016.

Tony Kouskolekas of Pelham Medical Center will serve as Chairman for 2016. Rosylin Weston of GSP International Airport will serve as Chair-Elect, and Mark King of King Consulting will serve as immediate past Chairman.

Members of the 2016 Executive Board are: 

-       Chairman of the Board: Tony Kouskolekas, Pelham Medical Center

-       Chairman-Elect: Rosylin Weston, GSP International Airport

-       Immediate Past Chairman: Mark King, King Consulting

-       Vice Chair-Finance: Jack Lucas, GrandSouth Bank

-       Vice Chair- Legislative Affairs: Donna Smith, Berkshire Hathaway C. Dan Joyner Realtors

-       Vice Chair- Business Development: Wayne Bobo, Century 3

-       Vice Chair-Community Events: Rudy Painter, Countybanc Insurance, Inc.

-       Vice Chair-Membership Excellence: Mikelle Porter, Greenville Technical College

-       Vice Chair-Leadership: Melanie Bargar, Clemson Youth Learning Institute

-       General Counsel: Brian Martin, Attorney at Law

-       Chairman of the Partnership for Tomorrow Board: Larry Wilson

-       Director: Chris Crist, Owens Insurance

-       Director: Brent Garrett, Citizens Building & Loan

-       Director: April Staggs, Greer State Bank

-       Director: John Mansure, Greer Memorial Hospital

The 2016 GPS focuses on 5 main divisions: 

  • Business/Community Development
  • Community Events
  • Membership Engagement
  • Leadership Development
  • Legislative Affairs

 Within each division, the Chamber has outlined several key components. A few of note include:

  • Offering a new bi-monthly training and seminar series
  • Increase membership engagement
  • Enhancing current visitor center-type activities to be an information destination for visitors, current and future residents on all things Greer
  • Promote the community to a broad reach of potential visitors
