Greer Chamber Hires New Sales & Events Coordinator

(GREER, SC) The Greater Greer Chamber of Commerce has hired Ellen S. Madden as the organization’s new Sales and Community Events Coordinator. This position will coordinate the Greer Family Festival as well as other community events, including the Chili Cook-off and Oktoberfest events. Madden will also be recruiting new members as well as soliciting sponsorships for the Greer Chamber. “Ellen’s past work experience in community festivals will assist the Chamber in building on the current successful community events and festivals in the Greer community. She is a perfect fit to our existing team,” states Chamber Director of Marketing, Lynn Pascazio.
Ellen Madden received her Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Texas in Austin majoring in Speech/Organizational Communications. Her professional experience includes Project Activity Manager and Market Relations Manager with Fluor Corporation in Houston, Texas, as well as Marketing Specialist for the City of Houston Parks and Recreation Department. Previously, she also worked as a Senior Account Executive for Resource Marketing and handled sponsorship accounts for the Houston International Festival, and The Great Tastes of Houston. “We are happy to have someone with Ellen’s abilities and people skills in this position to help move the Chamber forward and assist with our membership recruitment and community marketing initiatives,” adds Chamber President, John Kimbrell.
Madden began her work with the Greater Greer Chamber of Commerce on September 5, 2007.
