Greer Chamber to Host 2nd Annual Community Commerce Convention on April 8th!

February 19, 2010

Get Involved! The Community Commerce Convention presented by Prudential C. Dan Joyner is back and better than before! After a very successful first year that boasted over 275 people in attendance, the Greer Chamber polled its attendees and exhibitors on how to improve the event. The Chamber listened and now will have even more space for exhibit booths, a more concise schedule, and will continue to have top of the line speakers and topics. This event proved to be a great addition and benefit to our Chamber programs as a whole and is structured to have something to offer everyone who is in business.  From entrepreneurs, women in business and small business finance to management skill development, the Convention covers it all.  The Convention will consist of a main room with different vendor booths set up for breaks but will be structured to host multiple breakout sessions.  These breakout sessions will be designed to target many different aspects of business and create learning experiences for the participants.

The Annual Small Business Award Luncheon will be a part of this convention which includes the Outstanding Woman Award along with the Annual Small Business of the Year award.

There will be two breakout rooms during each breakout session that will feature knowledgeable and qualified speakers to participate in panel discussions or seminars covering a wide range of topics.  The topics are designed to help small business owners, employees of a business, sales professionals, and entrepreneurs to gain information and insight to help them succeed in their profession.

“This is a great opportunity to enhance your business knowledge through our seminars as well as make valuable business contacts in the community. I encourage business and community people alike to join us and experience all this Convention has to offer,” stated Larry Wilson, Interim President of the Greer Chamber of Commerce.

The convention will also feature an exhibit area for local businesses to showcase their products or services.  The cost of a booth is only $200 for Chamber members and $250 for non-members. That includes a ticket to the luncheon and access to the breakout topics.

“We are very excited to expand this event to showcase more of our member businesses as well as our community programs. The first year was a success, and we are excited to have Prudential C. Dan Joyner Co., REALTORS® partnering with us to make this year’s event bigger and better!” stated  Mark Owens, Director of Programs and Events at the Greer Chamber.
