Greer Chamber Unveils New Website

September 23, 2009

(Greer, SC) - The Greater Greer Chamber of Commerce is pleased to unveil the new www.greerchamber.com. The upgraded and updated site is the result of 6 months of analysis, design, and programming. The Chamber’s goal is to provide members and website visitors a user-friendly site that answers any questions you may have about the Greer Chamber of Commerce, upcoming events, business development, legislative news, and more.

”We are really excited about our new updated site that is another added benefit and service to our Greer Chamber members. I’d like to thank YourMark.com and Scott Stevens for their hard work in creating this new site for us. I encourage your feedback to enhance the site and we are looking to add additional features to our site throughout this year, stated John Kimbrell, President of the Greater Greer Chamber of Commerce.

The site features an interactive, up-to-date calendar of events where visitors can securely register and pay for the events online. Users can now easily view Chamber videos including the popular “President’s Patrol” visits, and BusinessProgress TV. Archived videos are easily accessible to view as well.

The Business Directory is now faster and handy to find any member of the Greater Greer Chamber of Commerce by several different search mechanisms. You can search by catergory, business name, first letter, or keywords. The site allows our members to login and view their membership profile and make any changes to their listing as well as add search keywords to enable visitors to locate them more efficiently. Users will also enjoy that their profiles will be securely saved and updated to our printed Membership Directory.

In addition to the site’s many new technical features, the graphic design and interface present a dramatic improvement. The Chamber has streamlined the site’s navigation, making it more intuitive and user-friendly. We also created a visual slideshow of upcoming events and important messages that will be updated monthly.

Bookmarking and social media tags are also embedded throughout the site so that visitors can share Chamber news and information with others on sites like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Del.icio.us.
