IGNITEGreer Partners with Visions of Excellence for School Supplies Drive

August 20, 2010

The Greater Greer Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that IGNITEGreer, the Chamber’s Young Professional Group, has partnered with Larry James and his Visions of Excellence program in a school supplies drive. The IGNITEGreer group collected over 12 boxes of school supplies from the community and donated them to the Visions of Excellence program. Visions of Excellence works with 6 area elementary schools which all received an equal share of the school supplies.

The donations were accepted at the Greater Greer Chamber of Commerce, Allen Tate Realtors, and Office Depot in Greer. Chairman of IGNITEGreer, Justin Hill from Bank of Travelers Rest stated, “One of IGNITEGreer’s missions is to do community projects and we could not think of a better way to give back to the community than through a school supplies drive. We had a great committee to help us with this effort and we hope our donation to Visions of Excellence will help the teachers and students in our local elementary schools.”

IGNITEGreer is an initiative of the Greater Greer Chamber of Commerce to help the next generation of business professionals and owners grow their careers. The group has three focuses: social networking opportunities, educational classes, and community service projects. These three focuses help us achieve our mission to inspire, grow, network, invest, teach, and empower. You can follow IGNITEGreer on Twitter at http://twitter.com/ignitegreer.
