Tickets available for the 2nd Annual Greer Gala to benefit Education

Tickets are still available for the 2nd Annual Greer Gala to benefit education. The Gala will be held on Thursday, October 1, 2009 from 7:00 – 10:00 pm at the City of Greer Event Hall.
“Last year the City of Greer opened its new events hall with a gala event, and I wish to thank the City for allowing the Foundation to continue the successful event by serving as our kick-off and annual fundraiser,” said Roughton. “The Foundation has partnered with the Greer Station Association in planning the event and it will feature an evening of wonderful food, live music and a silent auction to raise money for the Education Foundation.”
The Gala Event will include a Taste of Greer Station with local downtown restaurants providing their best cuisines. The participating restaurants include BIN 112; Café Mundo; The Cazbah; The Great Bay Oyster House; Lunch & Such; Rechaud’s; Riveria’s; and Wild Ace. Entertainment will be provided Southern Crescent and the Greer Station Association will sponsor a silent auction. At the Gala the Greater Greer Education Foundation will award the annual Margaret Burch Education Award to an individual or business that has significantly impacted the field of education, either through innovative programs, unselfish dedication to children, or through other avenues that foster the learning experience.
