Greater Greer Chamber of Commerce Schedules Three-day Membership Campaign

November 5, 2009

(GREER, SC) Hoping to spread the word of its instrumental role in the greater Greer community, the Greer Chamber of Commerce will be spending November 10 through November 12 recruiting and educating local businesses.

This three-day membership campaign includes over 40 recruited volunteers including the Chamber Board Members, Ambassadors, and other volunteers reaching out to others in the community sharing the benefits of the Chamber. The organization hired Joan Testa, President of Chamber Development Services Inc. in Texas, to organize and motivate volunteers this fall during the campaign.

I’m very selective who I work with,” Testa said. “They must be a strong chamber with good leadership, programs, and staff. The Greer Chamber boasts a supportive and engaged Board of Directors, a 3-year strategic plan, and has some of the best benefits for a small to medium sized chamber.”

Chamber member, Rudy Painter, Vice President of Counybanc Insurance, Inc., has agreed to lead the Chamber’s campaign this year.

“Increasing the membership makes for a stronger chamber for all of our members. It opens up more opportunities for business-to-business networking,” stated Rudy Painter, Vice President of Counybanc Insurance Inc.
During the membership campaign, the Chamber is featuring a special new member incentive package. Businesses that join and pay their membership fee before the deadline of 1:00pm, Thursday, November 12, 2009 receive the following:
