Greer State Bank is Title Sponsor for 2013 Greer Station Oktoberfest

The Greater Greer Chamber of Commerce invites you to attend the 2013 Greer State Bank Greer Station Oktoberfest—one of the most popular festivals in downtown Greer. Scheduled for Saturday, October 5, 2013 the festival features German oompah bands, a variety of German foods, and of course, German beer and wine! Festival hours are 12 noon to 10 pm and admission is free.
This downtown festival is a unique one-of-a-kind event in the Upstate. A celebration of German tradition, Oktoberfest brings thousands of visitors to the Greater Greer area. Greer State Bank will serve as the event’s top-sponsor.

For the second year in a row, Warsteiner will be the presenting sponsor and official festival beer.
“We are happy to announce that Warsteiner will return again as our official festival beer and 2013 presenting sponsor,” said Allen Smith, President and CEO of the Greater Greer Chamber of Commerce. “As one of the largest privately held breweries in Germany, the Warsteiner brand is very well-known and respected.” Warsteiner will be serving Verum, Dunkel, and Oktoberfest beers at two locations within the festival – the corner of Randall and Trade Street and the corner of Victoria and Trade Street. The festival will also have Budweiser, Thomas Creek, and Pepsi products.
Festival goers should expect a vast array of German foods and desserts including Bavarian white sausages, leberkaus, knackwurst, bratwursts, fresh baked pretzels, German funnel cakes, kettle korn, spaetzel, chipstix,glazed nuts, German chocolate cake, Black forest cake, and much more. Foods will be sold anywhere from $1 to $5.
