Ribbon Cutting at Greer Medical Campus
June 17, 2013
The Greater Greer Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that a ribbon cutting has been scheduled for Greenville Health System’s Greer Medical Campus, located at 830 S. Buncombe Road in Greer. The event will be on Monday, June 24th at 11 a.m. Refreshments will follow the celebration. You can find more details at www.greerchamber.com.
The celebration is for a new medical office building at 340 Medical Parkway on the Greer Medical Campus. The building houses the GHS Cancer Institute, GHS General Surgery, GHS Colon and Rectal Surgery, Greenville ENT, Plastic Surgery and Aesthetics and Regional Urology. Plastic surgery and urology are new services being offered on the Greer Medical Campus.
“Our new medical office building will make care for our patients more convenient, while improving efficiency and providing space for future growth on the campus,” said John Mansure, president of GHS’ Greer Memorial Hospital.
This new two-story building is 32,000 sq.ft. Each floor is 16,000 sq. ft. GHS Cancer Institute will occupy the first floor, and the surgical practices upstairs will share 10,000 sq. ft. of space. The building has 6,000 sq. ft. that is shelled for future use.
The building’s surgical practices are improving efficiency and reducing costs by sharing a waiting room, business office, scheduling and other support functions.
MOB 340 connects to the GHS Cancer Institute’s existing office for radiation oncology and Greer Memorial Hospital.
Greenville-based architects DesignStrategies served as the architects on the project and Greenville’s Harper Corporation were the contractors.
We encourage all to celebrate with GHS’ Greer Medical Campus as it cuts the ribbon for its new medical office building. Please contact Dudley Brown at 864-797-7549 with any interview requests or questions.
